Effect: Letterbox, Standard
Description
This is similar to {Letterbox}, except that one of four standard widescreen aspect ratios is generated, makig it useful for simulating a particular widescreen aspect ratio.

Aspect Ratio: |
|
Determines which of four standard widescreen formats to use: European Cinema (1.66), HDTV (16:9 or 1.78), US Cinema (1.85), Cinemascope (2.35). As this value is increased, the aspect ratio snaps from one setting to the next. The current setting is displayed in the small preview window. |

Shift: |
|
Slides the frame up and down so you can decide what part of the image should be visible. |

Background: |
|
Determines the intensity of the bars, going from black to white. |
|
Effect In/Out: |
|
Fades the effect in and out. |
Notes
To set a custom widescreen aspect ratio, use the {Letterbox} effect. For scenes shot using the widescreen (16x9) setting of most cameras, use the {16x9 Unstretch} effect.
