Effect: Overlay, TV Safe

Description
This effect places two outlines on the clip. The outer outline indicates the TV safe region, and the inner one indicates the title safe region.

Controls

Color:

Determines the color of the outlines.

Notes
A consumer TV screen often does not display the entire image, losing the edges. Objects which are important to an image should be placed so that they appear inside the outer box of the overlay. Furthermore, text (which should never be lost) should be inside the inner box. Incidentally, this is why iMovie titles have a button for "QT Margins": to ensure the title appears on TV screens.
