Effect: Film Grain, BW, Positive
Description
Simulates black and white film grain with a positive distribution over the intensity values of the image. With this effect, regions of the image which are brighter have less grain, which is the case with positive film projected on a movie screen.
Controls
Amplitude: |
The strength of the grain. The larger this value, the more pronounced the grain. |
Smoothing: |
How smoothed out the grain is. Larger smoothings give the impression of larger grain, thus smaller film negatives. |
Density: |
The proportion of pixels which have grain. |
Effect In/Out: |
Animates the Amplitude. |
Notes
A larger smoothing value results in larger grain. Therefore to give the impression 8mm film, the smoothing should be high.
For the grain as it would appear on a film negative, use {Film Grain, BW, Negative}.
